Work at caravan site 'went ahead with consent'
A caravan site in Scotland has been carrying out maintenance work despite the fact that residents in the area did not give their consent, according to a local news source.
The Northern Scot has reported that large log-cabin homes have been installed in Keith Caravan Park without the approval of local people.
It added that the five buildings already installed come as part of a plan which will see new lighting, fencing and landscaping features at the site.
Once the work is complete, it may be that people staying at the site pay more for their caravan insurance if cover companies view the site as a risk when there are a greater number of motor homes there.
But the work has now stopped and is subject to an investigation from the local council, a spokesperson from the authority has commented.
"No new planning applications have yet been received by the council and we will continue to monitor the situation meantime," the official remarked.
Meanwhile, Journal Live has reported that officials working for the Duke of Northumberland are to contest the decision against his plan to buy a caravan park in Warkworth.
