Now is 'great time to be in a caravan', says expert
This time of year is a good time for caravan enthusiasts to begin their 2008 sojourns, it has been claimed.
According to Nigel Donnelly, editor of Practical Caravan magazine, the fresh start symbolised by spring gives vehicle owners an ideal opportunity to hit the road.
Speaking in the May 2008 issue of the publication, the expert stated that he believes the UK is in for a "scorching" 2008 in terms of the weather, adding that the magazine has updated its Great Escapes section to accommodate this.
However, people should be sure to take out the most suitable caravan insurance policies if they are to keep their vehicles protected over the course of the summer as they may suffer accidents.
"There's a real possibility that 2008 caravans will be recalled fondly as the best value vans ever. If you want to avoid price rises, now might be a good time to fish out the cheque book," said Mr Donnelly.
Caravan enthusiasts looking for a new vehicle should check out the National Motorhome Show, held this week at the East England Showground in Peterborough.
