Horticultural group promoted with new caravan

Television personality Steve Berry has revealed his delight with his new caravan purchase, it has been reported.

Writing in the Times, former Top Gear presenter Berry hailed the Airstream caravan he picked up for £10,000, even though he bought it in a dishevelled state and in need of fumigation.

Berry called the vehicle an icon of design, adding that it was "as far removed from the bog-standard, beige, British-built, broad two-berth caravan as you can imagine".

The expert added that 65 per cent of Airstreams are still being used even though they are over 75 years old.

But it may be that the vehicle's age has an affect on how much he pays out in caravan insurance in order to cover it.

Berry remarked that he was delighted to wake up in his new caravan: "Opening my eyes to look up at the curved ceiling of the Airstream was like waking up in a little cathedral."

Airstream is the oldest brand of recreational vehicle in the industry, with its vehicles manufactured in Jackson Center, Ohio.

Distinctive rounded aluminium bodies distinguish the automobiles.
